No kidding. These Twinkling H2O’s really do exactly that.. they twinkle! Look at the sparkle on this wonderful image from the Flourishes “Coffee With Friends” set. I just love how they shimmer and.. well.. twinkle!

Some have asked about how I did the Cuttlebugged frame around the center stamped section. I should have linked the tutorial on Lynda Benden’s blog and forgot. Thank you Lynda for such a wonderful idea and tutorial.
This next card uses the image of the single small cup in the Flourishes Stamp Simply “Coffee With Friends” set. I stamped it a couple of times on coordinating designer paper from Basic Grey’s “Two Scoops” series, cut them out and stacked them. You know when you stack cups how the handles never allow them to stack straight? Yup it happened here, too. *chuckle* This was fun.
This card was actually one of the cards on the banner over at Splitcoaststampers on the day of this set’s release. I was so excited that they would use my card! How cool is that. Thought I would show it here, too, just in case anyone was curious about all of the supplies used.

My 16 year old is having a LAN (Local Area Network) party at our home starting this morning. It will last until tomorrow morning. Yes.. all day long and through the night I will have 12 teenage boys playing the newly released season of World of Warcraft (WOW). He is setting up 4-6 (whatever we can fit) large tables. They all bring their computers and monitors and hook them all together and then play this internet game. It’s great fun.. mostly. The down side is that my computer is in the same room where they set up and play. I’ll try to maneuver my way through the maze here at nerd central to get on my computer, too. I hope I remember to take some pictures. It’s actually pretty amazing!! Have a great Wednesday!
I love both of these cards. But PLEASE tell us how you got the center of the swiss dot panel NOT embossed! It’s an awesome look! Did you do each of the 4 sides separately?
What beautiful cards, Susan!! I especially love the second one. I, too, am curious about how you did the swiss dots around a flat image on the first card. Maybe we need a tutorial!!

What stunning cards. I love them both, but think your second card with the nested cups is probably my most favorite of all the cards I’ve seen done with this set! Wonderful colors, dimension and paper piecing, and the look of the nested cups is just too cool!

LOL to you and your boys for their WOW party! I have 3 sons ages 18, 19, and 20 (plus their many friends) and we have a perpetual LAN! I have taken pictures but I also want to record them one day because it is so funny listening to them yell and talk during the game. Enjoy the night – precious memories.

I haven’t bought the H20’s yet, and I need to learn how to use them after seeing this fabulous card! I also would love to know how you embossed those edges leaving the center untouched! What a fabulous look!! The dots all match up perfectly as if it was done in one sweep, but I can’t imagine how that’s possible! I love the stacked 2 cups on the 2nd card. I think the 2 scoops dp was made for that card. It’s great!
Have fun with your son’s all-nighter lan……. it’ll be a blast for everyone! Take pictures and enjoy it, because after your children leave the nest, you’ll really miss all that noise and chaos! Kids just grow up too fast……..*sigh*

I love the paper piecing on the second one here, but I think I really love the simplicity of the first card (even though I realize making that Cuttlebug ‘frame’ or coloring with your Twinks wasn’t simple). BTW, my oldest son LOVES WOW and has been playing this game for many years now and is quite good (or so I’m told -lol). He’s 22, but I’m sure if he lived close enough, he’d love to be at your son’s party. lol Please do take and share your pics. I’d love to see what that all looks like. 😉
