Today’s card is stamped with another new release from Flourishes called “Forest of Trees”.

To make this card I tore a strip of Eclipse masking tape and covered the lower half of the whisper white card stock.  Then I sponged the top half of the card with Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue, Almost Amethyst and Sage Shadow.  Once sponged I removed the masking tape and stamped a sentiment from Flourishes “Peace” set and one of the new tree images from “Forest of Trees” several times with Versafine “Onyx Black” ink.  This image was then adhered to the black card base.  I then embossed the Crystal Clear Card Stock (acetate) using a Cuttlebug and the Swiss Dot embossing folder.  I used Vellum Glue Dots to adhere the acetate to the front of the card.  (The vellum glue “dots” are actually not dots at all but are an adhesive in a sheet form that you simply transfer from the sheet to the object you want to adhere.)  Lastly a bow using May Arts ribbon was added.

Here are the three sets released this week at Flourishes.

By the way the Seahawks are DH and DS 1 team and he was pretty sad also. Infact the only teams that won in our house were DS 2 his Packers and Jets. He is torn between the two now that Favre traded. So he cheers for both. haha Hugs…

I will have to look for the vellum dots you mentioned in your description. The vellum dots I have are “dots”, so I’m not exactly sure what you used.

  30. OMIgosh…Susan, this just took my breath away! What a gorgeous and peaceful scene…I love the swiss dots overlay…it’s so much like snow! WOW what a beauty!

  31. What a beautiful card! I also love the last card you made with the “birds and vines” stamp set. I have a question for you. Do you have to purchase all three stamp sets to get the 10% discount? There are quite a few items at the flourishes store that I want and my budget won’t allow me to purchase all 3 new stamp sets so I was wondering if that was a requirement for the 10% discount. I’m also waiting for the clear cardstock to be back in the store before I place my order… I can’t wait to try it out too! But shhhhh about the clear cardstock… I wouldn’t want anyone else to buy it all up before I get a chance at it! hehe!

    ~Nancy
