It seems that every year I promise to take my 4 sisters out to lunch for their birthdays. However since we don’t live close to each other, it rarely actually happens. So this year I’ve decided that I will make them each a calendar instead. All of their birthdays are in the 1st quarter of the year, but the surprise will still be a little early as they receive this month’s page in a couple of days. I hope it will be a fun gift for them each month as the next month’s page arrives.
The calendar is a download from A Muse. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the calendar benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
SU! has an old retired set called “Flower of the Month” that has been sitting on my shelf gathering dust and patiently waiting for just such a project. I colored the image with markers and then lightly spritzed with water before stamping on watercolor paper. The stand for the calendar is an empty CD case.
Hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season. Happy New Year!!

You know I have this exact same set, even the coordinating border that goes around the flower. I have had it for ages as well, and just have not been able to part with it. I think when I’m settled in FL, I might just have to ink it up. Beautiful calendars, I’m sure your sisters will love them!
I hope you had a wonderful visit with your son!

Beautiful calendars!!! This set has been gathering dust at my house too. I love what you did with it here. Great idea to make the pages each month for your sisters. My sisters would love if I did that, but I would forget after April or May. LOL!
I look forward to seeing what you do for the rest of the pages.

I love that… and I do the same thing with my sister(and parents)… they get a calender and now it became a traditon – with competion, everybody is really into giving the best to make a beautiful calendar for the other.
Hope you had a great Christmas and wish you the very best for the new year and many crafting hours and fun to come.
What a beautiful calender page, and I love the CD case stand! Flower of the month–right up my alley! I love it!
