My son, Jared, and his girlfriend, Elise, recently returned from a 2 or 3 week vacation in Europe/Asia/Middle East.  While in Istanbul they decided they wanted an ice cream cone.  Jared is filming while Elise makes her purchase.  Too funny.

So I couldn’t resist making a silly magnet/card for Elise.

The main magnet is made with a Twinchie.

The ice cream scoop is also a magnet so that it can be removed from the cone. hehe

Ellen Hutson’s Art Magnetic Masking Material was used on the ice cream scoop as well as the back of the Twinchie.

Okay.. just silliness, I know.  But it’s all in good fun.  And the best part, it actually works as a magnet!  lol

Happy Crafting!

AND ON A SERIOUS PERSONAL NOTE:
My son Jeff, who just started his dental practice in Sierra Vista this week, may have to evacuate.  He and his family just arrived last week and had gotten unpacked when one of the southern fires began to threaten them.  Poor Arizona.  It does have it’s challenges.  Prayers going out to all those whose lives are being turned upside down.

  1. That ice cream video is a real kick…what fun memories and a creative magnet card! Keep us posted on your son Jeff too!

  2. What a funny video! I have never seen anything like that! Your card is perfect. Susan, I pray that your son, Jeff, is okay and that the firemen contain the fire. I can only imagine how worried you must be.

  3. Susan, I hope Jeff and his family stay safe and the fires are soon under control. Thanks for the link to the video. It really was loads of fun and your card is too. What great creativity!

  4. What a cute video! I would have been laughing too hard to actually take the ice cream.

Also, I’m praying that the fires are quickly contained. I didn’t realize that you live in AZ. We don’t live in Sierra Vista but we do live close enough that my husband is working in the area today to help out because of the fires. If we didn’t have to drive to Phoenix tomorrow he would have been working tomorrow too. I have friends who live in Sierra Vista and Benson and am praying that they all are safe – and all who live there too. I hope you and your family stay safe and don’t have to evacuate. (((hugs)))

  5. hahaha, that’s so cool! That ice cream vendor rocks, and I feel bad for the girl! 🙂 I would have been mortified! 🙂
So sorry to hear about Jeff and his family. My mom is in AZ right now to visit family. Seems its either feast (flood) or famine no matter where you are. 🙁

  6. Susan, what a cute video of the ice cream senario! Hope your son and his family are safe, gf!

  7. Susan, you made my evening with the video. What a good sport your daughter was. Youth has its advantages.
I’m praying for your son during these terrible fires.
Love your card. What a great sense of humor you have.

  8. TFS this amusing little video! I don’t think I’d have tried quite as hard as Elise did, but I really cracked up when your son’s ice cream cone was empty! LOL That guy was really slick!
Love the card/magnet – so perfect!
Prayers going out for your son in the line of those fires in AZ. It’s been such a tumultuous year for so many folks in the US this year! I do hope he’ll be ok – keep us posted!

  9. I watched the video — it’s hysterical! Clever guy! Elise will get a kick out of your card, especially with the removable ice cream — tee hee! I’m sorry about Jeff and his family and all the other folks displaced or suffering loss from the fire. This is turning out to be a distressing year for so many families.
