Recently I cleaned and organized all my crafting goodies.  In so doing a gold ink dauber turned up.  So weird.  I have no recollection of ever even buying this sweet thing.  But once I found it and saw how it sparkled, I had to give it a try.

This week’s challenge at Our Creative Corner is to “make a project with a Christmas tree on it”.  So using my new found dauber, I made two!

And here are some close ups.

Look at that shimmer!

The sketch for this second card was inspired by Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge #357.

I LOVE this stuff!

What treasures one can discover just by cleaning!

Happy Crafting!

  1. Ooh! What a great find! Love how you used the gold dauber on the cards and the arrangement. Classic and lovely cards.

  2. That is a great tree and the gold really makes it shine! Great extra bit of sparkle!

  3. I love those pops of gold! What a great find and both cards are great! I would imagine I’d probably find some gems too……….IF I ever got around to thoroughly cleaning my craft room! I just seem to re-arrange everything every couple of months! LOL

  4. Susan, your cards are both beautiful! It’s always nice to find something you forgot buying. I’m sure I would uncover some gems if I attacked my scrap space!

  5. Gosh, Susan…maybe I should have you come clean my studio. You think you might find one of those awesome daubers in there? I’ve never seen one but love what you’ve done with yours!

  6. Beautiful cards, Susan. Wonderful gold accents! Yes, I am always finding lost treasures too whenever I clean and reorganize my supplies.

  7. Isn’t it fun to have everything clean and ready to use? Love the cards. I always like reorganizing because I always find things that I haven’t used in a long time. It is akin to shopping in your own private craft store.

  8. Don’t you just love finding treasures in your craft stuff? You did an awesome job with that dauber.

  9. They are both so pretty, your ribbon border is quite stunning too and what a great find, that was worth cleaning up for, I really need to get to my room too, maybe after Christmas 🙂

  10. How cute is that idea. I love the Gold touches!

  11. Ooooh, Beautiful cards, Susan….I just love how you used the tree stamp and die and what a gorgeous trim diecut….sooo elegant!!!!

  12. Oh my goodness, love your cards and that fabulous vertical border on the top one! Thanks so much for joining us at Our Creative Corner last week!

  13. Susan, these are just darling, and your gold dauber certainly does shimmer nicely! I love those finds. Think I’ll dig a little deeper in a drawer tomorrow when I stamp.

  14. Beautiful simple cards and your treasure of gold worked perfectly. Awesome find but who wants to clean the craft room? Mine is in great need of a clean out. Thanks for the inspiration . Pat
