The BasicGrey designer paper “Little Black Dress” is such beautiful paper. So with a recent purchase of coordinating metal flowers, I couldn’t wait to make a card using both.
Problem was though I didn’t like it, and decided that, at least in this case, less was more. Using only one of the flowers and cutting the designer paper panel almost in half, the card got a new design.
Better? Which one is your favorite?
Oh and by the way if you haven’t already seen it, I have a sketch challenge going on until June 1st! CHECK IT OUT!! Would love to have you join in and give it a try.
Happy Crafting!

Love B & W cards and these are both great! Not sure which I like better – lot of help I am, huh?! Lovely metal flowers!
Love both, Susan. Hard to choose as they are both terrific.
I like them both Susan. The second one is definitely different thought.
I liked the first one just fine, but I love the second one! 🙂
Lovely, so elegant with that combo of lace and papers! very cool flowers!
OMG, Susan,,,both your cards are sooo pretty and elegant!!!! I love the classy black and white papers and how cool are those metal flowers!!!!
I don’t think you’ve ever made a card I don’t like, and both of these are unique and pretty in each design. I prefer the first one – mostly because the lace is more visible and makes such a perfect base for those 3 metal flowers! I like the richness of more black dsp, where the 2nd shows more white. Different strokes, eh ? 🙂
Both cards are so elegant, Susan! You can never go wrong with Basic Grey!
