Whoa!  It’s been awhile.  After almost a month off from blogging, I decided to play along in this month’s Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Challenge to use BLACK cardstock as a background.

The first card that I made for the challenge is a quick and easy CAS design with dry embossing to add some texture.

A pop of color is added with a sweet little heart shaped button.

Here is the second card I made for the BLACK challenge:

The solid floral and leaf images were stamped using a white craft ink on black cardstock.  Green ink was then stamped on top of the white again using the solid leaf image.  Red ink was used on the swirl stamp over the white flowers.  The swirls and leaf veins were outlined with a white gel pen as well.

Thanks for dropping by!
Happy Crafting!
