Feb 062013

So two of today’s cards were for challenges… from last week.  I didn’t get a chance to post them before the challenges closed, but decided to share them today anyway.

The first card, however, is the one that is actually not late.  LOL  It is for today’s Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge #422.

LOVED this sketch.  Added some texture with the embossing and popped up the image for a little depth.  I curved the clear photopolymer sentiment stamp when placing it on the acrylic block so that it wrapped around the top of the bouquet when stamped.  To help hold the “curve” of the clear stamp in place, a little double sided tape was first placed on the block.

This second card was for two challenges: ColourQ Challenge #173 and the Freshly Made Sketches #70.

I got to try out my new butterfly image and punch.  Love it!

And finally this third card was for the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge #421 from last week.

The Pure Innocence images from MFT are just so sweet!

Well even though a couple of these cards were too late to qualify for some of the challenges, I did have fun making them.  Guess that’s the most important thing.. right?

Happy Crafting!

  1. Lovely trio of cards. Love the layout of the last one, colours of the second and texture of the first. Now worries about missing deadlines – do it all the time myself.

  2. Beautiful! I love the variety of styles, images, and gorgeous designs.

  3. Your cards are very sweet. You have my sympathy for missing those challenges. Happens to me more often than I’d like. But, you still have 3 gorgeous cards, and had the fun making them, right?

  4. Definitely the most important thing about stamping is having fun. All of these cards are fabulous. Whomever receives them is going to be blessed. I really think, though, the first one is my fav. Don’t feel bad about missing the challenge deadlines, I’ve missed more than my fair share.

  5. I am so glad you posted these cards, Susan!
It happens to me too when I make cards for challenges and don’t post them right away. 🙂
Love the embossed paper on the first card, and very nice flowers stamp.
Your second card is so femine looking, so gentle!
And what a cutie is your third card! simply adore it!

  6. They are all terrific, love the embossing and color combo of the first, the paper in the second is so pretty, great background for your buttterfly, love the little girl and how you turned the sketch, like how you rounded one of the corners on the image too!

  7. All the cards are pretty, Susan. I especially like the flower and heart embellishment on the last card. Thanks for sharing them!

  8. Sweet, sweet, sweet, Susan! I’m glad you made it for at least one of the challenges. You’re doing lots better than me these days! =)

  10. What fun! Love every sketch and every card. The textured panel on the first card is wonderful. The second card is so simple but so gorgeous. It’s never to late too play and have fun, is it? Enjoy!

  11. A wonderful trio of cards, but I’m so taken with the first in it’s simplicity and colors! I just love how the embossing makes that image pop!
