Made a couple of long cards today.  They fit into a standard #10 business sized envelope.

A White Gel Pen was used to accent the balloons.

To get a good match, one of my favorite things to do is to color a white (or cream) adhesive pearl with a Copic Marker.  Here a Copic was used to match the pearl to the basket colors.

Both cards are playing along in the following three challenges today:

  1. So beautiful, Susan! Your coloring makes these jump off the page. I like this card size, too.

  2. Beautiful cards, Susan – the rich color against the kraft card really glows! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

  3. Way to flash the Verve and LOVE how you outlined the balloons! Great set of cards.

  4. Love the different size of the cards, haven’t made that for a long time and feel immediately inspired! Wonderful cards!

  5. Both are lovely, Susan. The rich colour and shimmer on the wine coloured one is beautiful but then so are the soft colours on the other. The tall layouts suggest a vast sky to explore.

  6. Great design and images for the tall cards, especially with all the white space. Haven’t made a tall card in ages, but I have always liked the look of them. Beautiful coloring as well, Susan!

  7. These cards are very impressive! I never think to use that size envelope but it opens a lot of new possibilities! Thanks so much for the inspiration – your cards are beautiful!

  8. These are so cool, neat to see the different coloring styles and love the twine with it!

  12. Two great cards. They both look great but I love the kraft one…the contrast of the papers is fab!

  13. What a pretty pair of tall cards! I just love how that twine is dangling off the kraft version! Love the white pen highlights too!

  14. The 2 balloons fairly gleam with the way you have shaded the colors, especially the amethyst one. The white pen was marvelous on that one especially. Equally effective on the softer colored one with the kraft, but the sparkle of the one balloon on the pearl grabbed my eye as the picture scrolled up on the monitor. Wow! I’m liking these longer cards too. Gotta try that. Wonderful card. TFS & Hugs

  15. Beautiful cards, Susan I love the long style.

    Hugs Diane
