Valentine’s Day is just a week away, so today’s cards are all about love!

Card 1 is a clean and simple style.

The sentiment was slightly popped up, and the designer paper was lighted sanded for a distressed feel.

As might be expected there are a lot of “heart” related challenges in blogland this week.  This card is playing along in the following:

Cards in Envy: “From the Heart Card Challenge”

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: “Simon Says: Have a Heart”

Joining the “Clean and Simple” style at:
The Card Concept: “#48 {Sweet Hearts}”

Just Us Girls: “#329 – WORD Week: ‘Valentine'”

CAS on Sunday: “Challenge #76, Valentine”

Time Out Challenges: “#49 – ‘Love is the flower you’ve got to let grow.'”
See what I did there?  Stamped some sweet little branches blooming from the heart.Smiley.GrinHugeAni

This card is also playing along in this week’s Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers: “CAS363 – Won’t you call me Sweetheart”

Card 2 uses one of my favorite techniques.. sponging.  Always love that sharp line of color that appears as the masking paper is pulled away.

Silhouetted blooms were stamped, and Stickles was added to the center.  Some of the branches were dotted with a white gel pen.  The sentiment along the side was popped up on foam tape.

Playing in a couple of challenges, too:

CASology: “Week 183: GLITTER”

Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog:  “#148 Use A Love Sentiment”

I went with a white on white design for Card 3.

Have always loved this look for a wedding card.

Isn’t this a beautiful die!!  The flowers were also die cut and added to the heart with pearls on top.
