Decided to give a few old retired stamps some love today.  The number “1” stamped on the balloon is a set from 1998!  The sentiment is from a 2009 set.  The pretty kitty is from a 2016 stamp set.

The balloon is adhered with foam tape to the image panel which is also popped up for some depth and dimension.

Every once in awhile its fun to dig through those stacks of oldie goldie stamps and use them!

  1. This is so cute Susan!! I need to give some love to my older sets too. Love all of the dimension too.

  2. I swear, if I never order another stamp I’ve got enough to ‘visit’ for the next forever! Your card is adorable, loved the way you layered and focused in on that darling kitten with the balloon. So glad. you’re playing along with the summer edition at the Card Concept!

  3. Oh my it is just adorable, love the number one on the balloon and the coloring of the kitty is too cute!

  4. Susan, this is one adorable card! The kitty is so sweet and beautifully colored, and I love the balloon with the “1” on it! Darling and will be loved by this sweetie’s parents. I agree with Nancy above about needing new stamps. I’ve been “visiting” some of my oldies as I’ve tried to purge and reorganize, and some of the new things are not nearly as darling as this kitty! Hugs and love!

  5. This is so super cute and I love that little kitty with a great border design at the top! It’s sure to delight the youngster who receives it! I too am having fun digging into my old stash – it’s like everything old is new again!
