Here is a birthday card for my 12 year old granddaughter.  She loves cats, and she loves to read.

Her favorite books right now are the “Warriors” series written by Erin Hunter.  She loves them so much that I decided I would read them, too, so that we could talk about all the adventures of the many cats that the books are about.  Okay.  I didn’t realize that there were nearly 100 books (so far!).  My granddaughter has every one of them!  She reads them as quickly as they are released.  I am starting the 3rd or 4th series.  We have so much fun talking about all the quests and life’s lessons that the books present.

The card is a fancy fold card box.  My card is a total CASE of the one found HERE on the tutorial for the design.

The card closes to a standard 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ size perfect for mailing.

A sentiment was placed on the black card stock band which keeps the card closed until easily removed.

On a totally random note:

I love my Stamparatus, but the magnets are so strong that it can get really hard to pick them up and place them.  I saw this idea somewhere (wish I knew where now so that I could give credit).

Just wrap the magnets in some fun designer paper, and it makes a great flap.  It allows for a much easier and controlled pick up and placement of the magnet.  AND..  you get to have these super cute designer paper covered magnets.  Seriously, what could be better!

Happy Crafting!
