I love forsythia. Growing up my mother had a huge beautiful bush in our front yard. When my first son was just a little boy we were visiting his grandma when the forsythia was in full bloom. Admiring the flowers he asked what they were called. I told him those flowers were “forsythia”. He then asked, “Sythia who?” It was such a sweet moment. My mom passed away over 40 years ago. Her home was sold and the forsythia bush disappeared shortly thereafter. But to this day whenever I see those little yellow buds, I recall that cherished moment. I love forsythia.

Although this card has many layers, it was fairly quick and easy to make. The wonderful designer papers make up the background. The stem, flowers, leaves and sentiment were all stamped and die cut.

A pearl was put on the sequin and then placed on the card. I do this a lot. I think it makes the sequin look like a flower.

This card is for one of my sisters. I don’t usually do anything on the back of my cards but thought she would get a kick out of this silly stamp.
