Today is Day 3 of Ellen’s “12 Days of Christmas” in the CLASSroom. With lots of wonderful BLOG CANDY for all 12 days of the celebration, I hope you can check it out and maybe win some fabulous prizes while you’re at it!
The Christmas Season is upon us! I have been busy getting all the fun activities accomplished including putting up the outdoor Christmas lights all by myself!! Who knew I could reach so high on tippy toe while standing on the top step of the ladder! Not bad for an old lady! LOL!!
However, I haven’t been stamping much but did get to create this card using a sweet set from Hero Arts. There are lots more details about this project over in the CLASSroom. It is sort of a funny/confusing story. But the bottom line is that Ellen Hutson will now be carrying Hero Arts Clear Stamps!
AND… be sure to visit the CLASSroom tomorrow (Saturday, December 19th) as well! Starting at 10am (PST) Ellen is having a scavenger hunt. Now if I know Ellen, there will be some surprises along the way!
Happy Crafting!
I’ve discovered something. I LOVE Inchies! I can’t put them away. I keep trying to, but I just love the feel of these little miniature “canvases”. So why fight it! lol Today I have used some Inchies, Inchies+ and Twinchies and some of the many tiny vintage images on Graphic 45’s Christmas Past Collection “Letters to Santa” and “Deck the Halls” designer paper to make some miniature focal points for a couple of different Christmas card sets. Graphic 45’s Christmas Past Collection “Let It Snow” designer paper was also used for a background design.
Here is the first set.
And here are the individual Inchie designs closeup.
After cutting out several of the vintage pictures I decided how I wanted to mix and match my Inchies with them.
I used Mod Podge to adhere the papers to the Inchies. Once they had dried, a final coat was applied for a finished look.
Here is the second set.
And here are the closeups of each miniature scene. Graphic 45’s Christmas Past Collection “The Holly and the Ivy”, “Glad Tidings”, “Carol of the Bells” and “Letters to Santa”, designer papers were also used for background designs.
My oh my what fun I had! Now it’s time to get these cards in the mail.
Thanks for dropping by today. Happy Crafting!

Well December’s calendars have been made and hand delivered on Thanksgiving Day to all 4 of my sisters. It has been quite a project that was most wonderful in that I would be thinking about my sisters as I was making the calendars.
(Note to Self: Need to get a new photo taken of all 5 of us together. This was the most recent photo I could find, and it is 7 years old. Definitely need a new photo.)
There are lots of memories. How about growing up with 5 girls (6 including mom) under 1 roof and only 1 bathroom… 1 sink and no separate shower, just a tub… for the whole family!! Lots of clothes sharing and hand-me-downs, too. And yet, we felt rich. I remember Dad would get up so early to use the bathroom and then turn it over to us girls! Not sure when my 1 and only brother got his turn in there! He was the oldest and left home to join the Navy when I was only 8.
Those were simpler times with simpler dreams. Or maybe it was just that I was the kid and not the adult! lol In any case this project was one that I’m really happy I did.
Thanks for dropping by today.
