Even if you want to?!?   The first time I read this sentiment I thought that maybe, in someone’s past, there might be a year or two they wouldn’t mind forgetting (losing)! But, really, I do love the sentiment.

The card plays in four challenges this week:

Simon Says Monday: Blues

Color Throwdown #274

Addicted to Stamps and More #77: Markers

Crazy for CAS #35: Chevrons

This card is for my brother-in-law whose birthday is coming up next week.  His favorite color is red.  So even though the color challenges didn’t call for it, a little touch of red just had to be included!

Happy Crafting!

Today’s card is for the Color Throwdown Challenge #273.  I’m determined to work on Christmas cards all year this time around.  It makes such a difference come November!  And, these colors were perfect to show off some new metal snowflake stickers.

The turquoise rhinestone matches the background designer paper better in real life.  Sometimes the lighting plays with us!  lol

I don’t have anything that is officially “smoky slate.”  However, the ribbon shows several shades of gray.  Hopefully one of them is close to it.

There’s still a little time left to play along in this wintery color schemed challenge.  Speaking of winter… hope all those who are in the brutal cold regions this weekend can curl up and craft away the day!

Yup it’s my last post as the September Guestie with the Color Throwdown Challenges.  I’ve had a ton of fun.  Thank you Joan for asking me to play along with all the talented ladies on the CTD design team.  Here is my card for this week’s challenge.

Here are the fabulous colors!!

It was great fun combining several stamp sets to create not only the flowers but the background, too.

And a little embossing added some texture across the top.

Hope that you can find some time to play along.  And remember you don’t have to use the exact colors.  Just use what you have that are close to the challenge colors.  For some awesome inspiration, you’ll want to see what all of the Throwdown Designers have created:

I so love the inspiration picture for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge #260.  Fall is here!

Here is my card for the challenge.

Orchid Opulence was the only exact color that I had, so a little mixing and matching came in handy.  Copics made a pretty good “Baked Brown Sugar” as seen on the wheelbarrow.  (Well, at least it matched the color sample in the SU Catty.  lol)

So remember you don’t have to use the exact colors.  Just use what you have that are close to the challenge colors.  For some wonderful inspiration, you’ll want to see what all of the Throwdown Designers have created:

It’s my second week to guest design with the Color Throwdown Team.  This is so much fun!!  Here is my card for the Color Throwdown Challenge #259.

The leaves have been stamped and cut out with a coordinating die.  A chipboard leaf was also cut to adhere to the paper leaf; so the leaves are super sturdy.  And again this week a Copic marker was used to color the cream colored pearl to a yummy chocolate.

Loved these colors so much that I just had to stamp some autumn flowers, too!

Hope that you can find some time to play along.  And remember you don’t have to use the exact colors.  Just use what you have that are close to the challenge colors.  For some fabulous inspiration, you’ll want to see what all of the Throwdown Designers have created:

Check out this week’s beautiful color palette.  Aren’t those greens gorgeous!!
