Last week I received a card from one of my sisters that had this wonderful foam butterfly on it.  Since the card was store bought (I wouldn’t tear apart a handmade creation!), I decided to remove it and use it on a fun spring creation for Stacy’s Bunny Special News and Challenge. Stacy is celebrating some bunny excitement and has some fabulous prizes!!  Just make a project with bunnies or a “Spring” theme and you’re in.
Check it out check-it-outers!

The butterfly really sparkles and shines!!  LOVE!

Besides Stacy’s challenge this card is also playing along in:

This second card was made as a birthday card for a dear friend who absolutely adores cats.

There are little rhinestones on the notes to add some sparkle.  Gotta have a little sparkle!

This card joins some challenges, too.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Happy Crafting!

Yesterday was my birthday, and DH gave me a Vagabond!!

Now, for the first time, some of the intricate dies in my collection can be easily cut out .  Don’t get me wrong, my little Cuttlebug has been a great friend.  But, oh my, it was with such ease that the sweet doily on today’s card came to be!

The Baker’s Twine was originally red and white… a bright white.  It didn’t look great with the vanilla colored paper being used.  So the twine was colored with  a Copic: marker to tone it down just a bit.

Better?

And a square punch was used to cut the end of the sentiment strip.

I thought I was playing along in 4 challenges today.  One of them was a color challenge, and when I finished the card I remembered another rule.  Besides using vanilla, kraft, chocolate and red, it needed to be a Christmas card, too.  Oops!  I’m such a rookie at this multiple challenge game!  LOL  Hopefully today’s card can play along in the following 3 challenges:
(Click on each challenge to check it out.)

The card in my last post was one of the most CAS (Clean and Simple) cards I have ever made.  Today’s card is quite a ways from there.

I had a blast with this one… playing with so many fun and sparkly things.  And I’m playing along in 8 different challenges… with just 1 card!  That is definitely a record for me.

With the card closed you can see the inside strip of designer paper where it peeks through the curved die cut front at the bottom of the card.

The pearl centers on the sparkly “snowflakes” were white, but they have been colored with a Copic marker.  Love those Copics!

As for the 8 challenges, well check them out by clicking on their badges below.

Thanks for dropping by today.

I’ve been invited to a February wedding!  Here’s the card for the happy couple.

Used Copics on two of the white polyester flowers for a perfect color match to the invitation.  The fabric soaked up the ink instantly and took only seconds to do.  Isn’t that fun!!

Playing along in a couple of challenges:

One Layer Card – Theme: Hearts

CAS-ual Friday Challenge #125

Even if you want to?!?   The first time I read this sentiment I thought that maybe, in someone’s past, there might be a year or two they wouldn’t mind forgetting (losing)! But, really, I do love the sentiment.

The card plays in four challenges this week:

Simon Says Monday: Blues

Color Throwdown #274

Addicted to Stamps and More #77: Markers

Crazy for CAS #35: Chevrons

This card is for my brother-in-law whose birthday is coming up next week.  His favorite color is red.  So even though the color challenges didn’t call for it, a little touch of red just had to be included!

Happy Crafting!

Papers: PTI Select White and Blueberry Sky

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copics:

Accessories: Memory Keepers Washi Tape (Navy); Provo Craft Cuttlebug “Pinking Stitch” Embossing Folder; Button

This card is entered into 2 challenges.  First:
Papertrey Ink’s Make It Monday Challenge #147.

The image, from Papertrey Ink’s “Love & Marriage” set, was stamped 3 times, once on the aqua, once on the white and once on the berry sorbet cardstock.  After some trimming and fussy cutting, the pieces were assembled for the multi-layer image.  The chapel was popped up for a little extra dimension.

And second a brand new challenge blog this week called the:
Mod Squad Challenge Blog.

Their first challenge is to choose at least 3 things from a “My Favorite Things” list and incorporate them into your card.  I chose 1. Ribbon 2. Die Cuts 3. An Adhesive Pearl (Sticker) 4. Layering of an Image.  So fun!  Thanks Carol for the heads up about this fun new challenge blog!

Check it out, check-it-outers!!

Here’s another CAS card for Christmas 2014!  My goal is to make at least a couple of Christmas cards each month between now and October. Then during the holiday crunch time I will already have several designs to choose from to mass produce.  It’s the designing and not the producing that seems to take the most time for me.  That’s the theory anyway!

The tree image is a stamp that I have had for years but haven’t used for sometime.  But because chevrons are so trendy right now, the image seems very up-to-date!   This card works for a challenge to use chevrons that is over at Crazy for CAS.  Not only are the trees themselves chevrons, but the strip of designer paper incorporates them as well.

Crazy for CAS: Challenge #35 Chevrons

Working along with my goal to make at least a couple of Christmas cards each month, there is a Fan Club challenge at Splitcoaststampers to do exactly that!  This month’s challenge “New…with the Old” is to “grab and dust off some of your “older” stuff and make it new again.
Well… this “old” image just turned into chevron trees!

Also to motivate with the Christmas card creations is the Weekly Christmas Card Challenges found at Sparkle Creations.  My card works in this week’s challenge there, too.

Christmas Card Challenges #6 – No Coloring

Happy Crafting!

Stamps: PTI “Sign Language”; Three Trees Stamp (Unknown)

Papers: PTI Select White; SU Sage Shadow; My Mind’s Eye “Stella & Rose Hazel”

Inks: SU Handsome Hunter and Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Pearls

Today’s card is for the Color Throwdown Challenge #273.  I’m determined to work on Christmas cards all year this time around.  It makes such a difference come November!  And, these colors were perfect to show off some new metal snowflake stickers.

The turquoise rhinestone matches the background designer paper better in real life.  Sometimes the lighting plays with us!  lol

I don’t have anything that is officially “smoky slate.”  However, the ribbon shows several shades of gray.  Hopefully one of them is close to it.

There’s still a little time left to play along in this wintery color schemed challenge.  Speaking of winter… hope all those who are in the brutal cold regions this weekend can curl up and craft away the day!

(Click on the badges below to take you to that challenge.)

The crystal sequins added some sparkle to the Space Needle’s fireworks display!
