When I saw the Muse #43 Challenge Card this week, some decorative handmade papers that a friend gave me on my last birthday came to mind.  There were a couple of pieces that really seemed to fit the challenge inspiration with their color and theme.

So, with them and a couple of other holiday themed designs, a few more Christmas cards happened!

I know.  I know.  So many pictures, but these handmade mulberry papers are just so gorgeous!!

Seriously.  GORGEOUS!!

Happy Crafting!

The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone;
it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave.

Thank you, Veterans!

After making several Christmas cards, today’s card is a definite change of pace.

It fits into a couple of challenges this week.  First there is the Casual Friday’s #119 Challenge to “use dry or heat embossing on a clean and simple project.”  I thought this scalloped embossing was so fun with the little row of ducks.

The second challenge is over at Simon Says Stamp where this week’s challenge is to “keep it clean and simple.”

Happy Veteran’s Day and…

Happy Quacking!

The November 1 Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge is “Welcome Home.” The inspiration picture shows a beautiful twig wreath.  Since I still needed some more Christmas cards, the picture inspired me to play along and make a few wreath cards using one of my favorite wreath sets from Papertrey Ink.

The berry image is stamped three times per wreath rotating it a little each time.

This is another wonderful wreath image from this set.

Rhinestones were added for some sparkle.

It feels so good to be getting all these cards ready to go before that December rush!!  There’s still a few days left of this fun challenge, too.  😉

Happy Crafting!
