I love this big butterfly!  It makes it easy to stamp a quick card for so many occasions.  Here are the cards I made for my mother-in-law and daughters-in-law for Mother’s Day this year.  However by changing the sentiment these designs would work equally well for Birthdays, Get Well, Thank You, Sympathy or Thinking of You cards.

The popped up frame adds some dimension and interest to this clean and simple design.

Thanks for fluttering by!  hehe

Here is the card I made for one of my son’s birthdays.  I randomly drew some additional popcorn kernels to the image with a Fine Copic Multiliner.

We recently sold our home.  In the basement we had an in-home theater with a lobby.  In that lobby was a popcorn popper which was not included in the sale.  It was one of the few things from the house that this son really wants.  So for his birthday, he gets it!

The popcorn popper:

The card fits into a couple of fun challenges:

The first challenge is this week’s CAS-ual Fridays Challenge to create a project with polka dots.

The second challenge is this month’s Seize the Birthday Challenge to create a birthday themed project.

Happy Crafting!

Recently we made a quick trip to Vegas, but it wasn’t for the usual sort of Vegas activities that come to mind.  It was instead to visit with one of our sons and his family in their new home and to celebrate their youngest daughter’s first birthday.  Here is the card I made for the occasion.

A piece of white cardstock was added to the inside for a sentiment.

After cutting away so much of the fold for this design the card seemed a little fragile, so reinforcements of black cardstock were added to the fold on the inside.

If you are interested, here is the Template for this fun creation.

Happy Crafting!
Hope everyone had a great 4th!

It’s been awhile!  The month of May and June were busy busy busy!!  We put our house up for sale and planned to relax for a couple of months waiting and hoping for that right buyer.  Much to our surprise, the house sold in 4 days!  We had to immediately find a place for all of our “stuff” and get it moved out.  But even so, moving had to wait a bit because May also produced the most exciting event of all… the birth of our first grandson!  So, of course, a trip to Arizona for 8 days of holding pure sweetness was in order.

Here is the card I made for little Lincoln.

Here is the TEMPLATE for this oh-so-cute design.

I finished the inside, too.

And now the star of the show.. Lincoln all brand new and beautiful.

Kate is so good to her new little brother.

Oh Happy Day!!
