Today’s card was made for a couple of different challenges.  A sweet blogging friend, Elena, has begun a new monthly challenge on her blog The Red Haired Girl.  This month’s challenge was to use “Funky Patterns”.  Being a complete patterned paper junkie, I had hundreds of choices to choose from.  (Actually, this is not an exaggeration!!)smileyastonished1ani.gif

However, I settled on these two designs from Basic Grey’s “Max and Whiskers” designer paper pack.

This set “Cats Galore” from Inkadinkadoo, has a particular image that looks a lot like the old tomcat with whom I grew up.  Wilbur and I were roughly the same age.  He lived a pretty long life for a cat and was around until I was a senior in high school.

The other challenge is the “Inchie Card Sketch #8” and can be found over on the Inchie Inkling.  After making the card, I’m not so sure I really followed the sketch completely.  Here’s hoping the sketch police don’t find me!  hehe

Happy Crafting!

I have just discovered two of my favorite things combined into one challenge.. a fun sketch and Inchies!!  Woohoo!  The challenge is over on the Inchie INKlings blog and I had to play along as soon as I saw it.  Here is my card for Inchie Card Sketch #7.

And for even more fun, I made another card to make a set.  It’s a different sketch and uses a Twinchie.

I’ve wondered lately what it is about these little Inchies that have so captured me, and I have decided it is my mom’s fault.  My mom was a very talented interior decorator.  Not only did she have a beautiful home, but she also had a beautiful miniature home.  She LOVED miniatures.  When she passed away there were plenty of miniature rooms for my sisters and I to inherit…  I chose the parlor.

You can see the scale here with the little Bible and glasses from the red velvet footstool now laying on the Inchie card.

So you see, this love for the tiny world is not my fault!  I simply have no control over it!  lol

Hope everyone has a wonderful creative weekend.

Happy Crafting!
