Loved all the challenges this month challenging everyone to get those Christmas cards started.

After making a list of several challenge requirements, I went in search of images, sentiments, embellishments, papers, etc. that could be used to fill those requirements.  I ended up finding this sweet angel from a 2016 set to create a couple of cards.

The first card uses a no lines coloring technique.

The second card uses the much more common technique of stamping the image in black so that the lines remain visible.

Both angels were colored with Copic markers.

It’s been so much cooler than usual here in Seattle.  But according to a little birdie, summer will finally arrive today!

I applied the ink to the rubber stamp using horizontal strokes with a marker.  Love the textured effect on the tree trunk.

The little bird was cut out using a circle die and then popping up the image on foam tape.

Hope everyone is enjoying some sunshine, too.

Decided to give a few old retired stamps some love today.  The number “1” stamped on the balloon is a set from 1998!  The sentiment is from a 2009 set.  The pretty kitty is from a 2016 stamp set.

The balloon is adhered with foam tape to the image panel which is also popped up for some depth and dimension.

Every once in awhile its fun to dig through those stacks of oldie goldie stamps and use them!

Jul 012020

Before the world stopped this past Spring, I used to go to the gym several times a week and do indoor spin (cycling) classes.  Well that all came to an end in March.  So now… I ride my real bike!  Where there’s a will there’s a way.

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

I LOVE this sentiment!!

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

The image panel and border were cut out with a couple of rectangular scalloped dies and popped up with some foam tape.

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

I also love the sentiment on this second card.

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

And like the first card, the sentiment/image panel and border were cut with the scalloped dies and popped up with foam tape.

Hope that everyone is healthy and staying safe.
