Spring is here, and tulips definitely say Spring! Both of the cards today let this beautiful and large tulip image do all the talking. It was stamped, colored and backed by a piece of coordinating card stock and adhered to the card base.

Not sure there are deep purple or blue tulips, but since these cards are for my DILs, they are colored in their favorite colors. So there’s that!

Nothin’ fancy but oh so lovely.

Here’s a CAS card made with a stamp set that I’ve had for quite awhile. It was time to dust it off and USE IT!

When stamping the sentiment I positioned it so that it would look like the sweet little fairy was writing the greeting herself. She was colored with Copics and had a few rhinestones added to her dress. This may be a clean and simple card, but one has to have a some sparkle!

Sometimes I’m just in the mood to make a quick CAS (clean and simple) card. It makes me happy.

The greenery and sentiment were stamped directly onto the main panel. The bottle was stamped, fussy cut and then popped up on foam tape. Lastly, a twine bow and pearl were added. Voila!

I love this darling image from Clear Art Stamps! Pretty straight forward card making here, too. Stamped an image, colored it and mounted it to a piece of designer paper and adhered to the card base.

This card was truly about the coloring.. I used over 30 Copics. Can we say, “Fun!” Oh and Little St. Nick got some rhinestone buttons, too.

It was taking me forever trying to decide which of these two closeup images I wanted to use. Finally gave up and put both in the post.

Remember Inchies and Twinchies? Oh how I loved those little squares. So I pulled them out and used them again!

On today’s cards I used a couple of small pieces of the beautiful scenic paper by Stampin’ Up! called “New Horizons.” The scenes were adhered to two black twinchies.

A square stitched die was used to cut a backing for the Twinchies. Trees were stamped either directly onto the card base or die cut and placed behind the scene.

A sentiment was stamped directly onto the card base.

Here’s a card for a special young man who is soon turning 9. Lots of layers (8 total!) give the card a nice sturdy feel.

Since his favorite color is green, the number 9 was die cut with an old numbers die set using some green metallic paper.

I’m playing along in some challenges, of course!

Its nice to make some Christmas cards throughout the year instead of waiting until November (or even December)! Without the pressure to get them done quickly, making them is a much more enjoyable process for me. So with that said here is a Christmas card in February.

The die set consists of two dies. The bottom layer is adhered directly to the black cardstock. The top layer is popped up on foam tape to give a wonderful layered 3-D effect.

So peaceful. I thought this inside sentiment was perfect for this lovely scene.

To begin this card a circle was die cut on masking paper to make a round ‘template.’ The circle ‘template’ was placed on the card base and then the desired colors of inks were sponged onto the card base.

I stamped the three distance birds and sentiment onto the card base.

The main bird image was stamped and colored with copic markers. It was then die cut and placed on the card base using foam tape to pop it up and give some depth to the card.

This card was inspired by Lorraine’s card found HERE.

Do you see the butterfly? It’s just a little thing that has landed right on the cake! It was punched from the same designer paper that acts as a floral backdrop for this yummy “baked” goodness.

Although the designer paper came with the flowers partially colored, I have added a little more color with some Copics to help a few of the flowers stand out even more. The pearl on the butterfly was also colored with a Copic marker. It started out as a white pearl, but didn’t really show up against everything else.. So a deep pink Copic came to the rescue.

Here is a card I made with a cute circular scene die that I have had for some time now. I’m already looking forward to Spring so even though the weather outside may not be saying “Spring” I can still have Spring on the inside!

The circle has been popped up on dimensionals. Love the depth this always adds to a design. The background panel has also been embossed which adds even more depth and interest. Love it!

The flower was made placing three different sizes of sequins together. The pearl was originally white but was colored with a Copic marker to match the ribbon and paper.
