#14 – Conniecrafter, Congrats! You are the winner of the Papertrey Ink “One Liners: Happy Die” set!!
Made a card using one of the dies from the awesome Papertrey Ink “One Liners: Happy Die” set.
Besides cutting the die out of the plaid patterned paper, three cuts were made with white cardstock. All four layers where glued together with the plaid piece on top. It was then placed back into the cutout on the plaid paper. Love the dry embossed look this creates.
When I ordered this die set I accidentally ordered two sets.
But that’s great news for someone. So… how about some blog candy!

Paper… beautiful patterned paper. I can’t seem to walk past it at the craft store, so many many of them end up on my craft table. And sometimes I even play with them!
A close second to paper are pearls. They have gotten harder to find as other bling products are taking center stage, but my love for them has not diminished. Nope, not a bit.

Have a couple of flowery cards today. This first one uses SU’s Birthday Blossoms.
After punching out the main flower I curled the petals slightly before adhering it to the main image panel.
There were a few challenges in mind while making this card. Check them out!

This second card uses a stamp set with some matching dies.
The mason jar was stamped on the card base and colored. A jar was then die cut using acetate which was adhered over the stamped and colored jar. The tape can be hidden under the twine and sentiment so that it doesn’t show through the acetate.

The Pure Innocence images from MFT were love at first sight. They completely won my heart. This darling little Fairy Girl was colored with a particular granddaughter in mind. Her birthday is several months away, but this card can be tucked away until the time comes to send it on its way.
I love this retired Martha Stewart border punch that embosses the scallops as it punches. Its so delicate and sweet!

This large floral image is from one of SU’s new hostess sets. It was so fun to color. The box around the flower was drawn using a plain old ball point pen! A square punch was used to punch the two points on the end of the sentiment strip. (Check HERE for a picture of this.)
Jazzed up the flower centers with a gold marker and accented them further with a white gel pen for a little pop.

With a name like “Moon Lake” it seemed logical to incorporate a moon when using this stamp set! So….
To begin this scene only the cattail part of the image was stamped. The entire image was then inked and stamped next to it. Love the look of an extra plant. A few Copics were used to color the bird and plants. A white gel pen was used to accent areas to give a little moon glow. The bird and plant shadows on the water were extended using a Copic 0.1 pen.
This card will be for one of my sons and is entering into the:

When I saw THIS CARD on Lisa Young’s blog “Add Ink and Stamp” the word “perfection” came to mind. I just had to CASE it!
Instead of the most recent colors that Lisa used, the inks here are some of SU’s older (and in some cases retired) ones.
A butterfly with three tiny pearls was added.
