Yeah! Two more Christmas cards ready to go.. sorta.
The look of snow in the background on both of these cards was made using Masking Fluid. This technique can be found here.
Flower Soft was used on the top card, but I have to admit that I won’t use black Flower Soft on greenery again. Next time I’ll use green for greenery! Seriously, in real life it looks like mold on those trees! LOL Not sure if this card will ever see the inside of an envelope.
So, okay, I’ve got one more ready to go anyway! hehe
Happy Crafting!

I love both of these. I can’t wait to start stamping some snowy trees again. Thanks for the tip on the moldy trees…I won’t go there 🙂
Two beauties. Great tree image! If you hadn’t said anything I wouldn’t have thought of mold, but can appreciate your comment 😉
Susan, your cards look AMAZING!!!
Hugs and smiles
Gorgeous cards. On the computer, the flower soft card is wonderful and seems to have such depth. Not moldy looking at all.
Susan your trees are STUNNING!!~
Susan, these cards are beautiful! I love the serene scene you have created!
Oh my word!! Awesome!!!!
I didn’t see moldy look here at all. It looks gorgeous! These trees look like real!
Although I can imagine that the black flower soft might not look great in person – it’s amazing on my computer screen! I love that card. I wonder how a very, very dark green flower soft would look.
Great work – and what a great reminder for me to go digging to find that jar of masking fluid!
the black sure looks stunning in your photos Susan! I can understand not liking a “moldy” look though! hehe… Glad you shared them anyway! I have to check out this technique!
Those are both very beautiful. I love the slight touch of blue you added Nice touch!
Sorry, but I enjoy the ” moldy trees” ! They create a sillouette effect against winter’s stark skies. I live in NYS, and this feels just like home! I love them both.
I am looking at these cards thinking OH SO PRETTY and then I get to reading about mold and had to start laughing. These really are very very pretty!
Love both cards. On the 1st card (w/black) I can see this w/a Moon and shadows.
LoL, you crack me up thinking your flower soft looks like mold, well maybe it doesn’t show up in the picture, but I think they both look great, I do like the matting around the second one 🙂
🙂 good to know! But it sure looks pretty from here!
Elegant and just lovely! The trees look so graceful and pretty!!

LOL on the ‘mold’! Did you know it can be green, too? =)
Seriously – these cards are lovely! I can understand it if the top card needs to go to the ‘reconditioning’ pile, though. If you can’t live with it, or in this case – send it – by all means change it! =) Think I’ll go play with my new tree stamp set that hasn’t seen ink yet!
You crack me up….not sure I agree with you about the mold…I think the flocking looks fabo!!!! Both of these are gorgeous, Susan!!!!
Both are gorgeous, Susan…and I love that scene!!
This is just stunning!
