Okay I confess… I tried to do a postcard. I really wanted to play along in Darlene’s challenge. But the no layers and no embellishments rule got the best of me. I just couldn’t do it! lol But at least I did end up with another Christmas card.
Edited: There have been a few that have asked me how I did the glittered corner/border. I should have included that in the original post… It was late and I forgot to mention that that is all part of the Imaginations designer paper. Using a black Copic multiliner and a glitter pen I did add the straight line across the top and along the right side to make a box around the deer and sentiment.
Have a happy day, and don’t forget to check out all the goings on with Sharon’s celebration.

Susan — this is stunning!!! But are my eyes playing tricks on me??? I can’t tell how you achieved this gorgeous look — it looks cut or etched out — It is simply STUNNING AND FABULOUS — OH MY!!!
Gorgeous card!!
Gorgeous!!
Oh how pretty!!! Isn’t it amusing how we sit down to create something and the project takes on a mind of it’s own? LOL This card is just beautiful!! To be honest, I don’t know that I’d be able to create a single layer postcard either! lol
Oh my gosh, this is spectacular. I have been sitting here trying to figure out how you created that awesome punched and glitter edge!
Absolutely STUNNING, Susan!!!
Wow…this is soooo elegant, Susan!! I love the colors…and just look at that sparkle!! Beautiful!!
So beautiful Susan.
What a stunning card!
WOW! Just stunning!!! That is some fancy paper. I never would have thought to frame it like that ~ very cool!
*sigh*….just sitting here drooling over this beauty!! WOW!! Love the sketch, the sparkle, the silhouette…just everything!! *sigh*…back to looking some more…can’t get enough of this card. Seriously!!
Gorgeous Susan! I am just blown over with this one! Love love it. I just read that you are leaving FLLC. I am so sad to see you go, I know you had too. I loved your work for them. Gonna miss seeing your sampls. Hugs…
Susan, another stunner of a card, it is gorgeous but not surprised as your cards always are beautiful. I always know where to come for some boost in my stamping. I have no mojo these past few weeks. I am over extended and have to just slow down. Your work is the best. Pat
STUNNING!
What a beautiful card!!!
This is absolutely STUNNING, Susan! I’m glad you edited your post to let us know the secret to this amazing card — I’d likely have stared it at for an hour trying to figure it out! lol I think I’d have a hard time with the one layer and no embellies rule too, so I’m totally sympathetic here…and love what you turned out!
Oh Susan … you are too funny!! You must practice restraint my dear!! Those layers & ribbon will wait, LOL!! Sorry you couldn’t do the postcard thing but that’s okay because this card is STUNNING!!! Thanks!!
Susan, I have been gone for awhile w/not much access to a computer and I have missed your beautiful cards. I love this one. It is so cool w/the the cut outs and glitter!
Pinky
This is a beauty of a card! Just so unique! Don’t feel bad about the postcard…..it was a challenge for sure to stay to one layer!
LeAnne
This is a fabulous design Susan, and you’re so cute! I have a fabulous design for a post card (in my head . . . LOL), just no time to get it on paper, I will definitely play when I return home.
Oh WOW!! This is just so beautiful!
Wow! Susan, that card is gorgeous. I love that corner “etching” too. Good thing you posted about that being a part of the paper or I would be asking how you did that. It’s just too freakin cool!
This is breathtaking!! So lovely! This one is a keeper!
This card is absolutely gorgeous Susan! I also can’t imagine my card without layering and embellishments! I wanted to be a part og this challenge but not brave enough yet…
I really love the layout on your card and all the sparkles!
